—Late fall is a fashion girl’s Superbowl

Written By : Annalisa Frumento

Aside from the constant lathering of aquaphor on my lips with the changing of the weather and embarrassingly some hot hands in my jeans back pocket, there are a few staple outfits that have become somewhat ritualistic during the fall months. They will never be skipped in the month of November, that is for sure. As basic as they may be, I am going to share my favorite ways to spice them up. With some loafers and a dream, let’s dive into some staple silhouettes and accessories for the season.

For me, a scarf will always do the trick to elevate a look. A chic black-on-black outfit with a pop of either pattern or color in the scarf is a cool way to stay warm and keep your outfit from looking mundane when you don’t want it to be! Another way to accentuate your style in the fall is with a funky hat, and hear me out! Take the Free People, “Phoebe Slouchy Lieutenant Cap” for example.

This hat is a very popular style and variations are sold at places like Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom, and I wouldn’t doubt that you could thrift a really cute one as well!

The second staple outfit I put together in late fall without a doubt, is a flare jean and a chunky sweater. Looking straight out of a pumpkin patch, the cozy vibes of an outfit like this are unmatched! Pictured below are a few pictures from the Free People website of flare jeans that perfectly fit the vibe!

The final look I’ll share is a sweater, skirt and funky tights. Calzedonia has a great wide selection of fun tights that are perfect for a fall night out. Whether you go with a cute plaid pair or some cool black patterned pair, they are a great way to spice up a comfy look and elevate it!

These staple outfit outlines are very chic and low-effort which makes them perfect for a girl like me, and hopefully spark some creativity for you! So, grab your boots and chapstick, because we will be showing off our outfits all season long!
