4 Things I’m Drooling Over

Written By : Hannah Corbett

There are trends you like, and then there are trends that feel personal. Then there are just staples, the kind that come around again, and again. And then there are things that I absolutely, without a doubt, must have. Like I almost want to inject them into my bloodstream, kind of thing.  I’m drooling, frothing at the mouth (not really but almost).

That’s how I feel about these four things right now.

1.Eyelet everything.

I will never forget this little white eyelet bikini from Hollister that I got for my 13th birthday, which of course was the biggest deal ever because I was officially a teenager. Like this was everything to me. It was white, eyelet, perfect—just the right amount of girly and grown up and I was obsessed.

And then my boobs grew the next year and it didn’t fit me the following summer.  And I’m not kidding when I say it was the biggest disappointment of my life at the time, like actually devastating.

Honest to god, I have not found a bikini that I’ve been that obsessed with since.  So im making one for havens bikinis, but for 20 year old bodies. Exactly what I’ve been looking for since I was 13 and emotionally attached to a piece of fabric.

But it's a finished product, I'm going to stay obsessed with eyelets, pointelle, and everything lace. It just feels so girly and feminine and grown up, even though I know people say it’s kind of childish. I literally do not care. Something about it being so effortlessly feminine makes it worth drooling over.

Give me pants, tank tops, blouses, bras, thongs—literally anything in those fabrics and I’m all yours.

2. Dairy Boy Sport

Currently biting my fingernails waiting for Dairy Boy to drop their sport collection. Paige Lorenze, my very close personal friend, near and dear to my heart—is entering the sports world and her and her team are doing a perfect job teasing it. Like it’s actually painful at this point. I dont even know too much about it to talk enough, but I. cant. wait.

3. Paper face masks + rêves under eye masks

This one is surprising, but paper face masks are another thing I’m obsessed with right now. I love the hydrogel ones, I do, but something about the paper ones just feels so effortless and nostalgic. Like low effort in the best way. Not even any specific ones, just whenever Im at CVS or the grocery store, I grab a couple. They’re like $2 dollars, and I dont think you can that in this economy. Crazy honorably mention of rêves under-eye patches, they’re my favorite of all time under-eye patches. I’ve never been left with such a glowy under-eye, I wish I had 1,000 of them.

4. Capris.

I mean really, what the hell happened. We took a complete 180 from wearing the absolute baggiest pants, to the point my grandma thought I was wearing men’s jeans… I mean, I was, but I thrifted them and they are Levis, so it’s different. To now wearing tight, right-below-the-knee capris.

It’s kind of insane. The last time I wore capris were in the 5th grade to our 50’s themed decade dance. And yes I won a Hula hoop contest that day, must’ve been the capris.

But on a real note, they’re so cute, so girly it almost feels aggressive. Like they’re choking me they’re so cute. I don’t even know how else to explain it.

Everything right now just feels very feminine, very specific, a little nostalgic, and very hard to ignore.

Exactly the kind of things worth drooling over this week.
