—I made some viral recipes so you don’t have to…

During my doomscrolls this past week, I found myself in a hole of viral foods and trendy recipes and decided to try them out. On the queue for chef Annalisa was the “Viral Feta pasta”, the “Green Goddess Salad” and some “Cowbody Caviar”.
Feta Pasta
This is the recipe I used: https://graziamagazine.com/articles/tiktok-feta-pasta-gigi-hadid-pasta/. The dish, made famous by tiktok, and took off very similarly to the spicy vodka pasta that Gigi made on her page a few years back, involves cherry tomatoes and feta mixed in with some garlic for the sauce, over a pasta of your choice. This pasta was very good, and not as complicated as tiktok made it seem. I am no food reviewer, but the tang of the feta and tomatoes was balanced by the pasta and made for a really delicious meal. I made some garlic bread to go with it and even kept the leftovers for lunch the next day. I would definitely recommend trying this recipe out! I give it a 9/10, these tiktokers really know what they’re doing!
Green Goddess Salad
This is the recipe I used: https://therealfooddietitians.com/green-goddess-salad/.
This salad is very…green. Maybe I am a bit biased because I really dislike cilantro, but in the salads defense, I could have just left it out. In the true spirit of trying everything once, I tried the dressing and really didn’t like it. I assume it could be very refreshing on a summer day, but ONLY if you don’t have that pesky soap gene! I cannot fairly rate this salad! But by my standards it’s a 5/10.
Cowboy Caviar
This is the recipe I used: https://www.spendwithpennies.com/cowboy-caviar/
Although this recipe calls for Cilantro, I learned from my Green Goddess recipe and left it out. I absolutely loved this dip. I paired it with both red pepper chips and some classic Tostitos. I absolutely will make it again. If there is one recipe that is worth all of the tiktok hype, it’s this. The tailgates will never be the same after this one! Definitely a 10/10!
The best recipe out of the three was the cowboy caviar. Although TikTok gives us some chronically online brainrot and a definite social media addiction, at least sometimes vitality can be used for good! I would recommend making the Cowboy Caviar for a party, but be prepared to be the most popular person there!
