—Being Warm Can Still Be Fashionable

Without fail, the winter catches me off guard every single year. My face gets dry, my hands crack and my hair starts to need more oil than could come from a pan cooking bacon. This is not even an exaggeration, I cannot stand the cold! There are a few things I do though to keep myself warm and fashionable when it gets unbearable out there, especially in NYC.
Call me crazy, but I layer leggings under my jeans. One may think it would be uncomfortable, but I often forget they’re even there until I go to take them off at the end of the night. Especially on a night out at a pub or bar, you do not want to be the one complaining on the walk over, or the smoking area (if that floats your boat). This ensures you are warm without ruining your fashion!
I also love to wear knitted headbands. I cannot speak for everybody, but one of the worst parts about winter, especially in NYC, is that wind chill that nips you right at the tip of the ear! You can make them yourself if you’re crafty or get a trendy one at Urban Outfitters or even on Etsy!
Finally… let’s hear it for the classic bomber jacket! This jacket can be brown, black, navy or white, and in my opinion will always look better than a puffer. I love pairing mine with a jean focused outfit, especially with a kitten heel. It surprisingly never looks anything less than chic!
Winter fashion can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be.Winter doesn’t have to be hand me down scarves and that old Northface you’ve had since the eighth grade!
