In the Haven with Kimber Guillen: I Want a Sunday Attire kind of Love

Written & Interviewed By : Hannah Corbett

Some brands chase a feeling.
Kimber Guillen created one.

Born not from a marketing strategy but from a state of mind, founder Kimber launched Sunday Attire as an ode to her favorite feeling: the calm clarity of a Sunday.

“I’ve always loved Sundays,” she says.

“It’s a day where people reset, and slow down…maybe you get groceries, or go to brunch”. What Kimber wanted was to bottle that up—and turn it into a feeling you could wear.

After years working in fashion behind the scenes at fashion giants like Neiman Marcus, Kimber began to feel a quiet pull toward something more personal. She loved the industry—but she wanted something that was hers. A name of her own rooted in meaning, not margins.

That “something” became Sunday Attire: a lifestyle brand rooted in intention, movement, and the kind of comfort that doesn’t cut corners on style. What began as a love letter to slow living is now the brand to watch out for.  A devoted community, a clear voice, and staying power.

“This was never just about cute sweatshirts or socks,” Kimber says.

“I want Sunday Attire to be a name you know.”

From day one, Sunday Attire was more than clothing—it was a way of being.

“Mindset. Energy. Alignment,” Kimber explains. Her pieces are made to carry you through real life. Whether that’s journaling on your couch, or running to a workout class, or grabbing a new book with a matcha in hand.  The goal is to make people feel grounded. Confident. Comfortable in their skin. Because when you feel good, you move differently. And Sunday Attire is built for that kind of movement.

A turning point came with the New York-inspired drop co-created with Hannah Detwiller, Social Media Manager at Want Locker. The two met over social media and instantly clicked.

“I just knew I wanted to collaborate with her,” Kimber says. “She has this energy—but it’s balanced with so much calm confidence. It felt exactly right for me, she was the only person I thought of really at that moment.”

Together, they launched the With Love, From New York, Pilates socks. Sleek, functional, and effortlessly cool. Made for movement and real-life routines.  They quickly became a community favorite.  Then came the Inlfuencer Pop-up at Fuse House Pilates Studio in Tribeca.

As an outsider looking in, to me, it looked like Sunday Attire came to life that day.  Seeing a group of people living and laughing in the brand, gave it that spark.  I already knew I wanted socks, but it became so much more than pilates socks at that moment, it became a feeling.  Which is what every brand is striving for.  That feeling of community and engagement, an aura that is so unique, that you just can't help but want to be a part of.

When the collab launched, it sold out in twenty five minutes.

As Kimber talked more about another upcoming collection with creator Pilates with Rachel.  Bringing Health and wellness to a whole new level with a collaboration with The Niche Method, introducing another pilates sock paired with a pilates class, followed by none other than a matcha bar.  The collection felt tonal and elevated, designed for both motion and mindfulness.

With momentum building quickly, Kimber’s vision is only expanding. More collabs. More drops.  More community engagement.  But through every next step, one thing stays the same: the feeling that Sunday Attire offers.

As we ended our chat, I couldn’t help but think about how often we stop to consider what clothing really means to us. How much we hold onto certain pieces, or the reason we even buy them in the first place. In this day and age—with constant drops of $125 sweatshirts every other week, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the noise. But the truth is, none of that really matters if you love what you’re buying.

Because when you do, you’re not just buying a product. You’re buying into the lifestyle. The aura. The consistency.

And that’s what Kimber has created with Sunday Attire. Something that makes you feel like the best kind of bittersweet. Like the in-between feeling of a Sunday: where the week is both ending and beginning, all at once.

We’re not just getting dressed. We’re chasing that feeling.
We’re wearing Sunday Attire.
